CEO, FirstService Real Estate Advisors & Chairman of Colliers InternationalPartnering with FirstService has provided our team with a strong strategic partner and the much needed capital to streamline our shareholder base and grow our business both organically and through acquisition. Our plan was to use Colliers Macaulay Nicolls as a platform to build a significant commercial real estate business over the long-term and ultimately, to gain control of the global Colliers International brand. We were determined to remain true to our disciplined approach, while demonstrating the FirstService advantage.
This combination worked very well for us, and in 2009 we achieved our strategic goal of gaining control of Colliers International, well ahead of schedule. Today, with 228 company-owned offices in 41 countries and partners in another 20, Colliers International opens more doors, in more places, for clients around the globe. Since partnering with FirstService in 2004, our global organization has grown from annual sales of $280 million to annualized sales of $725 million and established itself as the 3rd largest full services commercial real estate services company in the world.
Chairman, FirstService ResidentialWe believed that the discipline and support provided by FirstService was critical to the growth and development of our property management business. In 1997, we partnered with FirstService and established ourselves as America's largest community association management company.
At the time of partnering, The Continental Group (the original company), had annual sales of $25 million. Currently, overseeing FirstService Residential as CEO, we generate annualized revenues of more than $645 million making us the largest manager of residential communities in North America.
CEO, FirstService BrandsAs a 22 year veteran of FirstService, I have found that the partnership model aligns and drives the results of our decentralized operations, well beyond those of our competitors. We attract highly competent and competitive people who wish to partner with us to grow and prosper. Through acquisitions and organic growth we have moved our system-wide sales from $25 million to $1 Billion. The elements combine well, allowing FirstService Brands to continue to consistently grow and reach new markets.
CEO, Field Asset ServicesField Asset Services could not have grown at the exponential rate it has without the support of FirstService. Since our partnership began in 2007, FAS has grown to become the premier property preservation and rehabilitation company in the United States, managing more than $10.8 billion in residences on behalf of 26 major clients and employing 650 individuals. Our annual gross revenue has grown from $90.8 million in 2007 to more than $345 million in 2010.
The guidance and support of FirstService has allowed us to better manage our growth and its network and global reach has been invaluable to our business development, opening doors to opportunities that otherwise would not exist.
